It is very important to manage the lifespan of cutting tools during the machining process of mechanical parts. IOKO has been engaged in the development of tool life management functions for CNC machine tools using Mitsubishi and FANUC programs. The content involves automatic statistics, display, and alarm of tool cutting time, as well as automatic clearing of alarms and related data. Using the tool life management function to grasp the tool usage status such as usage frequency and usage time, so that the set value can be replaced with a spare tool after reaching the usage status, thereby preventing faults such as drill bit damage in advance.
